Over the past 12 months, I've learned a bit more about what my hair likes and doesn't like. I've learned who to trust with trimming my ends. I've learned that you don't have to spend a whole lot of money on products because if you're willing, there are plenty of wonderful items that you can make with basic ingredients.
My hair shrinks like no tomorrow and because of this, I prefer to have my hair blown out professionally before any trimming is done. Actually I don't even own a hand-held blow dryer, but even if I did, I would consult a professional. Theirs do better blow outs.
Below you'll find a slideshow of my 2011 Hair Challenge experience. The only month that's absent is April. That was the month I was sick so most likely my hair was a bit of a mess hiding under a headscarf. lol
So what were my end results in spite of several trimming episodes?
Front bangs: 5.5"
Sides: 5"
Back: 4.25"
Crown: 6"
So my hair did some growing (even if you can't always tell!) lol

Here's to another year of hair growth and maintenance!
Happy New Year!

ReplyDeleteI love this chronicle! The twist out you ended with in December is one of my favorites. I also love May (it looks similar).
ReplyDeleteLove that twist out! I need to get on this, but I haven't had the time since last year....In much need of some deep condishes, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteYou've made great progress! I love the African Twist Extensions. I'm going to have to do a better job at documenting my hair journey.
